MNSHINE

Health Information Exchange

Overview

When health information is spread across clinics, hospitals, labs, and health plans, the people caring for a patient can be missing part of the picture. MNSHINE Health Information Exchange (HIE) securely connects the organizations that care for Minnesotans, so essential information is available when it is needed for care.

MNSHINE is a Minnesota-certified Health Information Organization, operating under Minnesota Statutes, Section 62J.4981.

Connecting Minnesota's health care community, securely.

MNSHINE's HIE Advisory Committee advises the MNSHINE Board on how the exchange operates and grows. Members represent consumers, electronic health record vendors, behavioral health, public health, long-term care, health systems, critical access hospitals, health plans, and statewide health care associations.
